After thousands of votes, the finalists for the 2027 weddingsonline (WOL) Awards have been revealed, putting dozens of wedding professionals one step closer to national recognition. Making the finalist list itself counts as a significant achievement in the wedding industry, given the fierce competition and the sheer volume of entries.
The finalists now face the next challenge: submitting an online portfolio filled with samples of their work and real wedding reviews. These submissions will be reviewed by a panel of independent judges who will decide the winners across all categories.
Names familiar to the wedding world appear across the finalist lists. In the Artist / Caricaturist of the Year category, Amy Devlin Illustrations, Andrew Goti Caricatures, and live wedding painter Marcela Buckley all made the cut. For Band of the Year, the competition is packed with established groups such as All Talk Wedding Band, Entourage Wedding Band, and Sax and the City, alongside newer acts like Panic Animal and The LOLS – Wedding Band.
The Best Food Experience Provider of the Year category features Blasta Street Kitchen, TacoMan, and The Wild Grazer, reflecting the growing appetite for creative catering at weddings.
A variety of wedding-related services also made it to the finals. Key73, Lisa Heffernan Design, and Occasion Cars are just a few of the contenders for Best Wedding Related Service. Bridalwear suppliers like Adoro Bridal and Lilac Rose Bridal stand out in their category, while cake designers such as GBC Cakes and Kenmare Bakes are recognized for their sweet creations.
Children’s entertainment is well represented, with Auntie Katies, Nannies For Weddings, and The Wedding Nanny among the finalists. Content creators LCY Socials and Maya Wedding Content are up for Content Creator of the Year.
The DJ category includes names like Bryan McDonnell DJ, Dj Brian Hennessy, and Paul Fitzgerald – DJ and SAX®, while entertainment suppliers feature 95 Entertainment and Scruffy Entertainment – Weddings With a Difference.
Florists and flower preservation specialists also made the cut. All Seasons Flowers and DTwo Flowers compete for Florist of the Year, and flower preservation contenders include Eleme Creations and SIÓG Botanicals.
For Gifts / Favours / Accessories Supplier of the Year, Athenry Candles and VG Designs IE – Wedding Candles are finalists. Groomswear suppliers Protocol for Men and Freddie Hatchet are in the running, while hairstylists like Emma King – Hair Artist and Sorcha O'Boyle Bridal Hair make the list.
Jewellery designers including Angelic DNA Jewellery and Chupi Jewellery were named finalists, as were magicians and hosts like Jamie Skelton Magician and MC and Kristian Grey – The Wedding Magician & Host.
Makeup artists with bridal expertise such as Georgina Mackessy Makeup and Niamh McMahon Bridal Makeup earned nominations. Newcomers to watch include Aoife Lyons (Irish Content Creator) and Wed in West Cork.
Photo booths and selfie mirrors are represented by First Class Entertainment and Picabooth Photobooths & Events. Photographers like Alan Roche Photography and Elisha Clarke Photography are finalists, alongside wedding videographers including Bright Fox Wedding Films and Neidin Films.
Wedding celebrants such as GETMARRIED.IE and Rosemary Hartigan Celebrant & Legal Solemniser round out the ceremony side of things.
Wedding entertainment agencies like Bentley Productions and DJ AND SAX® compete for recognition, as do wedding musicians including harpist Carys Ann Evans and trad music group Ceili Cottage.
The Wedding Planner of the Year finalists include 4 Weddings & Events – Weddings in Germany and Wed in West Cork, showing the international reach of the awards.
Even wedding singers like Cathal Dervan Music and Jenny Cullen Wedding Music are in the mix.
