As the sun began to set on a crisp early autumn evening, Caroline and Brendan exchanged their vows in a breathtakingly romantic ceremony at a private Greenwich estate, surrounded by lush greenery and the soft glow of twinkling lights.

A Whimsical Garden Wedding in Greenwich

The estate, custom-built by the bride's family, was a perfect reflection of the couple's love for European chateaux and the intimate garden settings of their childhood homes. With its European-inspired design and organic, intentional vibe, the wedding was a masterclass in effortless elegance. The couple's vision for the day was to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere that felt like a homecoming for their guests.

A Feast for the Senses

As guests arrived at the ceremony, they were greeted with a champagne reception, featuring a raw bar, roaming oysters, and passed cocktails. The 2 custom-built bars from Elevate Green ensured that everyone had access to a drink without having to wait in line. The reception that followed was a plated dinner extravaganza, complete with passed desserts and late-night espresso martinis and crepes.

A Garden of Dreams

The flowers, designed by The Traveling Flower Ladies, added to the natural beauty of the estate's romantic garden. A "ground garden" featuring mostly green, white, and ivory with touches of earth tones for autumnal texture was created for the outdoor ceremony and later repurposed in the reception space in front of the stage. The tented reception space, draped in greenery, echoed the design of the cocktail hour with a mix of green and white linens and natural wood tables and wishbone chairs.

Intention and Love

Sarah Brehant Events completely reimagined the private Greenwich estate for an intimate and elevated wedding. The ceremony took place in the tree-lined, gravel driveway, with live string music playing while the backyard pool was transformed with flooring, a stunning sailcloth tent by Greenwich Tent Co., pendant lighting, a custom-built stage for the band, and draping for an elevated and beautiful reception space. The couple's intention was at the forefront of every detail, including the escort cards, which were handwritten letters for each guest from the bride.

A Commemoration of Love

In memory of the groom's mother, a beautiful and simple sign was placed in the front row with a petite bouquet. Single stems were placed by the bridesmaids into an empty vase during the ceremony as a commemorative gesture. These thoughtful touches added a poignant and emotional depth to the proceedings, reminding everyone present of the love and connection that had brought them all together.

As the night drew to a close, Caroline and Brendan danced under the stars, surrounded by the beauty and magic of their special day. For those who were lucky enough to be there, it was a truly unforgettable experience that will stay with them for a lifetime. And for those who weren't, this enchanting wedding is a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a well-planned and executed celebration.
