In Naples, a wedding celebration unfolded with an enchanting, "more is more" energy that left guests in awe.
The Planning Unfolds
The wedding colors embodied the enchanted forest, with a mix of green tones in rich moss, forest green, and accents of brighter chartreuse. To brighten these moodier tones, shades of lavender, eggplant, and creams were brought into the space through florals, menus, linens, and the dance floor. Carrie Darling, the planner, brought the walls in with a drape to make the space feel less like a ballroom and more like a cozy restaurant.
A Magical Vibe
The reception's design aimed to evoke the feeling of stepping into an enchanted forest. Rich, mossy draping covered the walls, complemented by delicate blooms in shades of ivory, blush, and lavender. A circular bar overflowed with organic arrangements that felt abundant yet effortless. The structured design elements, the modern ceiling, and tailored seating played against the wild, untamed florals, creating a magical tension between refined and romantic.
The Proposal Story
The couple's proposal story began on their rooftop in Williamsburg in October 2024. Byron proposed to Paige, who thought they were heading out to dinner with a friend. As the sun set over the city, he got down on one knee in the most romantic surprise, and Paige couldn't have been more excited to say yes. Her parents flew in from Chicago to decorate the apartment, making the moment feel even more perfect.
Getting Ready and the Fashion
Paige fell in love with a drop-waist ballgown by Leah Da Gloria, adorned with intricate beaded lace. For her second look, she stayed with Leah Da Gloria but went in a different direction, a bit sleeker and more modern. The soft slate blue bridesmaids' dresses from V. Chapman complemented the wedding's romantic, sun-soaked aesthetic perfectly.
The Details
Passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour included Compressed Melon with Balsamic Drizzle, Coconut Shrimp, Short Rib Empanada, and Fig & Brie Cheese Tart. The Main Entrees offered guests a choice of Braised Short Rib, Pan Seared Salmon, or a Spinach & Cheese Ravioli. A custom Spritz Cart built by Carrie Darling Events served Aperol Spritz to the guests, offering an alternative drink experience away from the main bar.
Florals and Decor
The bridal bouquet, designed by Kaleidoscope, was an all-cymbidium orchid arrangement that was wired together in a cascade reaching all the way to the floor. It was an absolute showstopper, both sculptural and effortlessly fluid. Each bloom carried intricate detailing, creating dimension and movement with every step she took.
What's Next?
As the wedding celebration came to a close, the after-party continued with a special nod to the couple's first meeting in a speakeasy in Chicago. The evening was a testament to the couple's unique love story, and the enchanted forest wedding in Naples will be remembered for its magical, "more is more" energy.
