A Pink and Green Garden Party Wedding at Congress Hall in Cape May
A Philadelphia Eagles fan's dream weekend turned into a romantic proposal in Scottsdale, Arizona, where her boyfriend proposed to her in February 2023, just before Super Bowl LVII. The couple's love for football and the Eagles made the proposal even more special, as they are both huge fans – the bride walked onto the football team at Notre Dame during college, and the groom is a die-hard Eagles fan as a native of the Philly suburbs.
A Garden Party by the Sea
The couple chose Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey, for their spring wedding, which perfectly fit their "Garden Party by the Sea" theme. The bride was inspired by the color combination of pink and green florals, which she had always loved, and carried this theme throughout the wedding details, including the pink Lula Kate Lilly of the Valley print on the bridesmaid dresses and the green chargers with lily of the valley print on the tablescapes.
Whimsical Wedding Details
The couple worked with an amazing watercolor artist, Julie King, who designed a matching pink lily of the valley print for the paper goods, including envelope liners from the invitations, tray liners for the drinks, and custom floral prints for the invitations, bars, and stage. The bride's wedding gown, Mira Zwillinger's Limka, featured a unique 3D floral appliqué design, which she fell in love with on Instagram a year before trying it on. The bride's veil and shoes were also a perfect match for the whimsical and fun style of the wedding.
A Night to Remember
The couple's band, Blue Label Band, kept everyone on the dance floor all night long, playing a mix of Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen songs, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles' Fight Song, which the Eagles fans in attendance sang along to with enthusiasm. The Mister Softee ice cream truck that arrived at the wedding reception was a hit with the guests, and the delicious fudge from The Fudge Kitchen in Cape May was a childhood favorite of the bride's that she was thrilled to share with everyone.
