The wedding proposal unfolded as a scavenger hunt through the city, each clue bringing the bride closer to a glowing tree at Myriad Botanical Gardens, where the groom finally knelt down. Ornaments filled with Polaroid snapshots of their story marked each meaningful stop during the Christmas season. That thoughtful start set the tone for a wedding day that embraced personal moments with a lush, garden-party feel.

The Baumberhof’s ivy-covered stone barn and conservatory provided a naturally elegant backdrop for the ceremony and reception, inspiring the couple’s choice of a romantic European garden theme with a playful twist. Their palette blended soft blue linens and blue china with butter yellow, blush pink, ivory, and green accents. The colors intertwined through floral arrangements and table settings, creating a layered, storybook effect.

XO Flowers and Events crafted the florals, mixing hydrangea in blue and green, blush peonies, yellow tree peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, poppies, sweet peas, and tulips. These blooms filled every corner, from the vivid floral installation behind the ceremony’s ivy wall to the colorblocked petals lining the aisle. The head table floated above a lit glass pool floor, covered in a floral linen and anchored by 16 feet of solid florals and ivory taper candles.

Dinner served was a family-style Italian meal courtesy of Kams Kookery. Passed appetizers included burrata with grapes, crostini, and prosciutto, followed by a chopped salad, lemon chicken, linguini, tortellini, and roasted vegetables. The drink menu featured strawberry lemonade mocktails alongside wine, champagne, and frozen margaritas. Details like embroidered blue linen napkins, ivory lace chargers, steel blue Pervinca Ginori dinner plates, and garden floral salad plates added subtle layers to each place setting. Paper floral place cards in yellow and green completed the tablescape.

The bride wore a gown by Caroline Castigliano, while bridesmaids were dressed in Azazie. The groomsmen wore Jos A Banks. Amy Cakes provided a four-tier white wedding cake adorned with all-white 3D flowers.

Photography captured by Ely Fair Photography and cinematography from Leslee Layton Films + Photos documented the day, with event planning by Fête ensuring every piece fell into place. Invitations came from Eros Studio, while rentals came from Marianne's Rentals for Special Events, Borrowed Charm, and Wooden Heart Designs. Drive Band provided the music.

The couple’s vision was to create a day that felt magical and deeply personal while embracing the natural beauty of the venue. Every design choice leaned into that storybook garden vibe, with floral linens expanding the floral presence and a ceremony setup that felt intimate but elegant. The wedding’s subtle color pops and thoughtful details made the garden surroundings feel like part of the celebration itself.

It’s the kind of wedding that reminds you how an outdoor venue and simple, well-chosen colors can turn into something memorable without needing to shout. The Baumberhof’s charm, combined with those blue and butter yellow accents, gave the day a quiet sophistication that’s easy to imagine reappearing in future garden weddings.
