Sometimes, life connects you with someone from your past in order to create a beautiful future together. Ann and Dubem met while they were in the university 11 years ago.

They lost touch after graduation but Cupid was determined to make them cross paths again.

All thanks to Facebook, they reconnected and picked things up from where they had left them years ago.

Now, it’s all sparks and butterflies as they exchange their vows in a heartwarming white wedding ceremony.

Dubem and I first met at the university in 2011. I was still a fresh student staying with a friend. I came home from school on a particular day to meet him in our room. He came to visit my host’s roommate, who was his then crush and coursemate. We exchanged pleasantries and contacts and automatically became really close friends. We had a powerful attraction and connection, which we never explored. We maintained a close and cordial friendship for years, being each other’s shoulders to lean on when we got hurt by our respective partners. This continued till we left school and lost contact.

We reconnected in 2020 on Facebook and as we caught up, It turned out that he was fresh out of a failed relationship which had him deeply heartbroken and I offered my shoulder for his broken heart to lean on. Our trip to Dubai in January 2021 was when we finally decided to explore the strong connection we’ve always had. Our love for travel and adventure further deepened that connection, and he proposed in 4 countries without me even knowing it. The rest, as they say, is history… Still being written…
