Haley and Aaron’s wedding in Paso Robles skipped the usual aisle walk. Instead, guests arrived straight into cocktails and dinner, creating a vibe that felt more like a garden party than a traditional ceremony. They saved the vows for later, officiated by Haley’s sister Jessica under a floral arch, allowing the moment to unfold naturally among family and friends.
The couple wanted their day to feel joyful and relaxed, without the stiffness of formal weddings. Bliss Productions crafted the event using a palette of butter yellow, light blue, coral, soft orange, fuchsia, saffron, fresh greens, and hints of lime, ivory, and warm wood tones. The design leaned into the rolling hills surrounding the vineyard, blending bright, whimsical florals with natural elements like warm wood tables and neutral linens from BBJ La Tavola.
Bright Floral arranged blooms that looked freshly picked from the wild garden itself. Tiny vessels held colorful flowers, and the compositions balanced between lively colors and a grounded, organic feel. Candlelight and colored glassware added soft layers without competing with the landscape, making the whole setting feel personal and alive but never overdone.
Food was a big focus for Haley and Aaron, but they steered clear of the typical steak-and-salmon dinner. L.A. Roots Catering delivered an elevated backyard BBQ buffet, serving Santa Maria tri-tip, Argentine grilled chicken, truffle and balsamic potato salad, mac and three cheese, seasonal vegetables, and fresh salads. The buffet was designed to be abundant and fun, not formal or fussy. Tipsy Taps handled the bar, offering beer, wine, signature cocktails, espresso, and a cucumber-mint water station, keeping the drinks fresh and approachable.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple went for something more personal. Haley’s favorite Levain Bakery cookies were on offer in flavors like Chocolate Chip Walnut and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, alongside assorted dessert bars from L.A. Roots Catering. The dessert table was simple and playful, a reflection of Haley and Aaron’s laid-back style.
Music and ceremony timing broke from tradition, too. Haley’s cousin, Chyler White, performed live during cocktail hour. The DJ from Downbeat Agency took over later, fueling the dance party that kicked off with the couple's first tequila shot together. They skipped the first dance entirely, jumping straight into the celebration.
One of the more interactive touches was an After The Tone audio guest book, where friends and family left recorded messages instead of written notes. This fit perfectly with the couple’s wish to keep their wedding personal and engaging.
The whole event was captured by Geoff & Lyndsi’s photography and Perfect Union Films’ cinematography, preserving moments that felt intimate and spontaneous. The wedding ended with Haley and Aaron jumping into the pool, a playful note that matched the easygoing tone of their day.
This wasn’t a wedding about grand gestures or tradition. It was a garden gathering, full of familiar flavors and vibrant colors, set against the natural beauty of Paso Robles. It felt like a party where everyone was invited to be themselves, without the usual wedding formalities slowing things down.
