Caitriona Graham and Chris Kennedy’s wedding day was a scene straight from a storybook, with touches of Disney magic woven through a palette of purple and blue hues. Their ceremony, held on 18 July 2025 at the Tullamore Court Hotel in County Offaly, brought together years of history and a clear sense of personality.

The couple first met as teenagers in the Gaeltacht, reconnecting after a few on-again, off-again years to build a life together. Chris’s proposal was a quiet, intimate nod to their beginnings. After a day walking old familiar paths, they ended up at The Twelve Hotel in Barna. While Caitriona dined, Chris slipped away to transform their room with candles, rose petals, and a photo collage chronicling their years. Caitriona returned to their song playing softly and found Chris on one knee.

Choosing Tullamore Court Hotel came down to atmosphere and feeling valued. Caitriona said, “We fell in love with the decor and the atmosphere when we first walked through the door.” Unlike other venues that felt impersonal, the team at Tullamore made them feel supported from the first planning meeting with Michelle to the final touches with coordinator Rute. On the day, the staff’s warmth stood out.

The bride wore a white princess-style gown by Angelo Bridal, complete with a corset, detachable cupped sleeves, and a long train. Her white strappy heels came from New Look, and she paired the dress with a headpiece and jewellery from Rosie and Dott. Laura’s Hair Studio Laois styled her hair, while Katie Rabbette handled makeup. Chris wore a three-piece suit from Eddie Murphy Menswear in Athlone, mixing navy trousers and jacket with a beige waistcoat. His cufflinks bore his initials, and a pocket watch was engraved with their wedding date. Groomsmen matched his navy and beige look. Bridesmaids wore floor-length powder blue gowns from JJ’s House, accessorized with pieces from Rosie and Dott.

The ceremony took place at the Church of the Assumption in Tullamore, where Rev Tadhg Quinn set a warm, lighthearted tone. Caitriona walked down the aisle to “Happily Ever After,” a Disney song, with ceremony music provided by Kayla McDonagh and Mike. The couple mentioned that the priest “stole the show” with his humour during the service.

Reception styling leaned into rich purples and blues, mixing romance with subtle Disney references. The table numbers were silhouettes of famous Disney couples. The cake, created by Amazing Cakes, was a highlight. Flowers came from K Flowers in Tullamore, and wine bottle rose lanterns in purple and blue decorated the tables. The party moved outside later for sparkler celebrations under the evening sky.

Photographer Ken Byrne, along with videographer Keelan Byrne and Aine, captured the day with a natural, candid feel. Caitriona and Chris praised their professionalism and friendliness, saying, “We had many chats with Ken and spent hours bouncing ideas around. Our photos look candid, natural and unique.”

In the evening, Kayla and the Experts kept guests dancing with a range of music styles, making sure the energy stayed high. The couple recalled quiet moments as much as the big ones, especially seeing each other at the top of the aisle and sharing a private moment in the ballroom before guests arrived. “That quiet moment together really hit home,” Caitriona said.

Their advice to couples juggling wedding planning: “Plan it together, savour every decision and choice, spend the whole day together at the wedding. Don’t forget to enjoy it and take the time to bask in your day! It goes by so fast so just be present in the moment.”
