A stunning wedding in Umbria, Italy, is giving us all the inspiration we need for our dream nuptials. The picturesque Castello di Petrata, with its breathtaking views of the rolling hills and charming town of Assisi, was the perfect backdrop for Sarah and Adrian's fairytale-like celebration.

An Organic Approach to Wedding Design

The couple wanted their wedding to feel organic to the area, with a classic but textural approach to design. This is evident in the green and white color palette that set the tone for the day, as well as the stunning florals designed by Rebecca with Bird and Bumble. They worked closely with the couple to create a spectacular design that embraced the surroundings of the venue, without competing with its natural beauty.

A Proposal to Remember

Sarah and Adrian's love story is one for the ages. After years of insisting that she wanted to be both "totally surprised by" and "totally prepared for" their eventual proposal, Adrian finally popped the question during their study abroad quarter during their MBA program in London. She was absolutely surprised and completely unprepared. Adrian considers this a fair bargain, and it's clear that their love has only grown stronger since then.

A Wedding Gown Fit for a Princess

The bride wore a stunning Kyha gown with a full ballgown skirt, perfectly capturing the fairytale essence of the day. The bridesmaids, on the other hand, selected their own gowns in a pretty pastel palette, adding a playful touch to the proceedings. With their hair styled by Sara Onori and their makeup looking flawless, the wedding party was truly a vision to behold.

A Culinary Masterpiece

The food and drink experience was incredible, with the chef actually coming to New York to do some R&D with the happy couple. They then went for their tasting in September 2024, and were absolutely blown away by the food. For the wedding, they featured a truffle risotto with roasted leeks and a dusting of olive powder, parmesan stuffed tortello with sweet potato cream and fresh pear, and a choice of braised short rib, Salmon a l'oseille, or eggplant parmigiana. Everyone raved about the food the day of the wedding, not only delicious but also with magnificent presentation and service.

A Night to Remember

The wedding cake was a live show cooking of the traditional, Italian Millefoglie, which was the kick off to their epic party with a DJ, Saxophone, and cold sparks. It was such a vibe, and the saxophonist then accompanied everybody in the party room. The couple chose to have a DJ, Saxophone, and Blue Moon Italian Jazz Band to keep the party going all night long.
